Alpha Motors has a surprisingly big range of vehicles for a brand you’ve likely not heard of, but that’s because they’re working off a full-electric, fully modular set of frames that let them offer a lot of options without reinventing the underpinnings for every design.

The latest is the new Alpha SuperRex, a four-door SUV built on their truck platform and designed for serious all-terrain travel. Compared to the two-door Rex SUV, this one’s 10″ longer, 1.2″ wider, and sits 3″ taller.

The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system uses four-wheel independent suspension with a steel frame and lightweight thermoplastic panels.

I'm a serial traveller who's crisscrossed the US more times than I can count. Current rigs are a '19 Vandoit Ford Transit camper van and an '05 GX470, both fully outfitted for off-road adventures, plus a healthy fleet of gravel bikes & MTBs. On two wheels or four, I love exploring the world from the backroads.
