AT Overland has made truck bed toppers and flat bed habitats. And now they’re splitting the middle with the all-new Aterra Slide-In, a fully enclosed camper shell that easily moves in and out of your truck bed.
It’s built with their lightweight honeycomb composite, and available as a fully-built camper, or as an empty shell so you can build your own. And a modular design lets you add and remove components as you wish to truly customize it to your needs.
It comes in four different “full size” bases (measurements and options at bottom of story). The shell is 1″ thick, coated with polyurethane, then painted with automotive-grade paint.
The back has a Tern Overland Wildlands “bear proof” door with dual security bolts and stainless steel mesh screen door, letting you leave it open for air flow and still locked for light security.
The sides have four Tern Overland double-pane windows with solar screens and blackout blinds for ventilation and privacy.
Assuming you go with the built-out version, you’ll get an assortment of Finnish plywood open-front cabinets with soft-sided drawers topped with waxed bamboo countertops and table.
An extendable cabover king bed measures 74” x 80”, and options like a heater, air conditioner, fridge/freezer, water system, and external hot water shower provide creature comforts.
A 185-watt Roof-mounted solar panel and a RedArc power system with Lion Energy 105 Wh Lithium battery keep you powered off-grid, and a dedicated port for shore power lets you plug in as needed. Starlink Mini ports are on board, too.
