INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster double-cab pickup & chassis cab

With pre-orders open in North America and delivery scheduled by end of year, the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster gives the brand two four-door pickup truck variants on the original SUV (aka “station wagon”).

The latest Quartermaster Chassis Cab has a flatbed platform so you can build your own overland rig or work vehicle however you want. Not shown, standard Quartermaster gets a proper truck bed for something more like a Jeep Gladiator. Payload is 1,675lbs, and it has the same 10.5″ ground clearance, 31.5″ wading depth, and 8-speed transmission w/ 2-speed transfer case. From $86,900 (CAD $96,695). Here’s hoping they’ll have an electric/hybrid Fusilier version of this, too.

Storyteller Overland acquires Taxas camper trailers

Alabama-based camper van outfitter Storyteller Overland has acquired TAXA Outdoors, maker of the Mantis, Cricket, and other off-road camper trailers. Storyteller is primarily focused on modified Sprinter van conversions, but also owns the GXV (Global Expedition Vehicles) branch that created the HILT, a full-size truck converted to overland beast. The merger gives them all the options for off-road capable vehicles and trailers.

New West Knifeworks’ Saddleback Glory Folder EDC pocketknife

It’s a mouthful to say and big on features, but the New West Knifeworks’ Saddleback Glory Folder pocket knife is tiny and light. The titanium frame and locking mechanism sits beneath your choice of G10 composite, iron wood, or carbon fiber handles and available in a wide range of colors.

The 2.75″ blade is made of CPM S35VN steel, widely considered the best stainless steel for knives thanks to its ultra-hardness and ability to hold an edge even with rugged field use. The drop blade shape has a flatter “saddle” on top to press your thumb against for extra leverage. Base price is $470, with customization and exotic handle materials topping out at $2,500.

Arcade Belts adds new National Parks editions

arcade belts national parks editions support our parks with new designs for 2024

Arcade Belts are stretchy, slim, and work great for active pursuits (and long hours in the driver’s seat), and now they have updated designs for Yellowstone, the Great Smoky Mountains, and Yosemite.

The buckle is metal-free, so it’s light and whips through airport security. It’s also extremely slim yet strong, so there’s no added bulk. MSRP $37.95, portion of proceeds goes to the National Parks Foundation.

Search & State Field Shorts

The Search & State Field Shorts use a lightly waxed cotton outer with breathable mesh pocket lining for a durable short that’s not too hot in summer.

Thankfully, they have a generous 8″ inseam, because I’m not sure what this whole short shorts thing is about, but I don’t like it. They come in navy blue, black, and this new camo print. MSRP $155, get 15% off with code “Quickrelease15” thru _______

OruCamp origami folding camp tables & chairs

If you’ve never used the Oru folding kayaks, you haven’t been amazed by their origami-like folding design that creates a surprisingly rigid, sturdy, and fast kayak. Now, they’ve launched OruCamp with the same fold-flat design that makes it easy to pack an entire table-and-chair setup in a very small space.

The collection includes a dining table with clever storage under the surface (holds 200lbs), mid-back lounge chairs (300lb load rated), and side tables that double as stools and footrests (250lb rated). Available in white/orange and white/black.

Show Time

Here’s a great video that explains the difference between clear, amber, and yellow lights, and when you’d use one over the other.

About Tyler 74 Articles
I'm a serial traveller and road trip lover who's crisscrossed the US so many times I've lost count. I've owned cars, SUVs, wagons, vans and a 37' class A toy hauler RV, and I've customized them all! I love the open road and getting off the beaten path to find new adventures, mainly traveling with Kristi and the kids to explore the world on our own two feet (and, usually, two to four wheels)!
