Whether you need massive pulling power, lighter weight, or an ultra-compact design, these four new winches from Warn, Comeup, Superwinch, and Carbon Offroad should deliver.

Warn Zeon XP-S winches
Warn’s new Zeon XP14-S series brings a few upgrades to the recently introduced XD-S series. It has a new remote clutch that works in tandem with the manual clutch on the winch itself. This lets you release the clutch for free spooling, then re-engage it and control the winch from a safe distance.
Integrated lights illuminate the rope when it’s turned on, and then they change colors during operation to indicate what it’s doing. Green lights mean its reeling in the line, and red lights mean it’s overloaded and you need to back off.
Compared to past models, it also has lower amp draw, better sealing (IP68/69), better corrosion resistance, and faster line speed. Not out yet, the Warn XP-S series winches should be available soon.
Sister brand Factor 55 has a new Crossbeam shackle (coming soon) that’s made to be permanently attached to your vehicle and comes laser etched with the maximum angles and the max load that can be pulled depending on your angle. Check them out at Warn.com and Factor55.com.
Superwinch Scorpion ultra-compact winch
The new Superwinch Scorpion Series packs all of their winch technology into a tiny new package with 6,000lb and 10,000lb capacities. The control box, motor, clutch, brake, and everything else is packed into the unit, so there’s nothing else to mount, hide, or relocate.
They also come with an integrated soft shackle that’s woven directly into the end of the synthetic line. This saves weight,and saves you from having to buy one.
Besides smart packaging of the electronics, its smaller size comes from using a 50-foot line rather than the more standard 80-100 foot length. This gives them a narrower spool, shrinking the width by a few inches.
The motor has a two-speed design, so it has more torque when pulling a vehicle, or more speed when you just need to wind in the line quickly.
The small footprint should help it fit into more OEM locations and compact aftermarket bumpers. The design is also very sleek for external mounts. More info at Superwinch.com, available soon.
COMEUP Seal Slim RSI
The new COMEUP Seal Slim RSI winch is another ultra-compact winch design, putting a smaller control box directly on the motor, then making that section adjustable by 90º to help it fit more applications.
Despite the smaller size, mechanically, it’ll be the same as the current Seal Slim models. It’s an addition to the line, so it won’t replace existing models, and it’ll come in 9,500lb and 12,500lb ratings.
Offered with synthetic lines only, rope length is TBD, but it might be a bit shorter than some of their larger winches. Comes with both wired and wireless remotes.
The integrated control unit is so slim you shouldn’t need to relocate it, and it should fit into more of the tightly spaced aftermarket and OEM bumpers. They say this saves you from figuring out where to mount the control unit, buy additional brackets, etc.
Like all of their winches, the brake system is located on the outside of the gearbox, so the drum won’t build up heat that could damage synthetic ropes. It meets SAE J706 spec for frames, meaning they’re built to handle 2x the rated load strength.

Carbon Offroad claims the lightest 12k winch
The updated Carbon Offroad 12K Winch comes in at just 23.45kg (~51.6lbs), which is about 15-30lbs less than similar full-size, full-power winches. And at $749, it’s about half the price of similar competing products, too.
The control box can be mounted as shown over the motor, or over the drum, the spool, or in front. Or removed and relocated with the included 500mm (~20″) cables. Wired & wireless remotes and two-position fairlead are included, with your choice of nine anodized colors for the hook.
It has a 6.2hp motor with 3-stage planetary gearbox, is now IP68 waterproof and has a new all-black design, and comes with a 5-year warranty for mechanical and electrical parts, including water ingress.
