The latest portable power station from Bluetti packs a whopping 2073 watt-hours into a compact unit, but that’s just the beginning. It also has nearly twice the output, twice the lifespan, and charges at least twice as fast.

The new Elite 200 V2 maintains that tradition with a new battery structure that packs more power into a very small space, and also claims to be safer than ever.
Bluetti’s new battery tech

The Elite 200 V2 uses a LiFePo (Lithium Iron Polymer) battery, now the standard due to its longevity and safety compared to standard lithium ion batteries.
What’s different here is the shape of the cells inside the battery. Most brands, from power stations to e-bikes, stack cylindrical cells resembling AA batteries into a case, wiring them to achieve the desired voltage (usually 12 volts for power stations, and up to 48 volts for e-bikes, power tools, etc.).

Bluetti’s new unit uses “prismatic cells”, which are basically square-shaped battery cells nested directly next to each other with no gaps. More power in less space.

Basically, it’s ~40% smaller than the AC200, and just barely bigger than the much less powerful AC70.

Lastly, they say this new LiFePo unit is an “automotive grade” battery, which seemed like marketing speak, here’s what it means, per Bluetti:
CNAS-certification means it’s engineered to automotive-grade standards, passing 33 rigorous tests in areas such as charge/discharge resilience, capacity recovery, vibration resistance, overcharge/discharge protection, short-circuit resilience, high-temperature endurance, and overall cycle life.

TL;DR: It’s 3rd-party tested to exceed 6,000 charge cycles before reaching 80% capacity.
Bluetti says that’s good for about 17 years of regular use. In contrast, most other LiFePo power stations are rated for 3,000 to 4,000 cycles.
Power, charging speed & other key specs

The Bluetti Elite 200 V2’s output is rated to 2,600 watts from the AC outlets, plus another 200 watts of DC (USB and socket) outlets. That’s enough to power almost anything, including high-draw items like electric kettles, coffee makers, hot plates, and most consumer power tools.

Need more? Put it in “Hercules” mode and it can push out up to 3,900 watts in short bursts. The other benefit of having such high output, even in standard mode, is that you can run a lot of appliances off it at once…so keep that cooler plugged in while you cook, it’s all good.
