The Devos Lightranger 2000 telescoping camp area light just got better with the addition of app-based controls. The new version pairs with the Devos app to let you dim it, change the color, turn each side on or off individually, and check battery levels.
It pumps out up to 2,000 lumens, enough to illuminate an 80′ diameter campsite. The telescoping tripod base lets you adjust the light’s height from 36″ up to 120″ (10 feet).
It also switches from white (5000K) to amber (1800K) to reduce bugs and red (<1000K) for maintaining night vision and keeping Dark Sky areas dark.
Heat sinks on the top keep the LEDs cool, and buttons on the device let you control it manually, too. It’s IP56 dust/water-proof.
It has a 4-hour run time on max, 45 hours on the lowest setting (red, 30 lumens), and can recharge to 60% in 90 minutes via USB-C. The built-in 67 watt Li-ion battery can also be used to charge other devices. Charging brick and cord included.
The single light stand weighs 5lbs and comes with a carrying case, MSRP $249. A two-pack is also available for a slight discount ($479), and you can bundle that with a 44″ HD case ($535, shown above).
