The new Diode Dynamics D-Switch switch panel takes control to the next level, letting you customize output, sequences, and even use your vehicle’s factory buttons and switches to control 3rd party accessories.
The D-Switch is an 8-panel switch panel that adds multiple accessory wires and pairs with their app to give you far more control over how your lights behave, as well as control things like horns, winches, and more. Here’s what you need to know…
The basic functions are similar to other switch panels on the market. Eight buttons let you easily control multiple things from inside the cabin without having to run individual wires through the dash to power everything.
It has four 30A outputs and four 15A outputs, enough to handle most things. What sets the D-Switch apart are three main features:
Single-button Backlight Control

Got lights with a backlight that’s activated by a separate wire? No problem, just hook those backlight wires up to the D-Switch’s dedicated 8-outlet backlight bus bar (15A total output) and you can turn them all on at once. Even better, that’s controlled by a dedicated 9th button on the panel, so you’re not using up one of the 8 main switches to do this. Very cool.
Trigger Wires for Factory Integration

In addition to the 8 switches, the D-Switch has three accessory trigger wires that you can connect to your vehicle’s factory switches. For example, attach one to your reverse lights and you can program it to also turn on chase or rear off-road lights along with it.
What you use them for is up to you, but any OEM function that has a wire you can tap into will let you use your vehicle’s existing functions to also trigger one or more of your 3rd party accessories.
Even better, there’s also an ignition wire that’ll turn the D-Switch on and off with the ignition (if you want), so you won’t have to manually turn everything on or off every time you start and stop the car. You can still turn it on and off and use accessories no matter what your vehicle’s ignition state is, too.
Dynamic Channel Assignment

Via the D-Switch companion app, you can set any button to do anything. Or do multiple things. Or have multiple buttons do different things to the same accessory.
For example, one could turn on your chase lights like normal, and another could turn them on strobe. And then you can customize the strobe pattern through the app. And also have it make multiple lights strobe at the same time or in patterns. Basically, your imagination is the limit.
Dimmer Control & Night Modes

You can pre-set the brightness of the panel and any connected lights for daytime and nighttime. Want your chase lights bright during the day, but subdued at night so you don’t blind your caravan? No problem, just connect the Night Mode trigger wire to your headlights and everything will automatically adjust when your headlights come on.
