Before the sophisticated tents and trailers that have became the norm in the overlanding community, there were the canvas covered pop up (and out) trailers and slip-ins. Back then, these were the cat’s meow.
They were compact while moving, opening up to a canvas covered wonder room when deployed. The originals’ style was more KOA than rugged backcountry, but Canadian start-up Far Out Camping Company’s new Canopy Camping System brings the soft-top truck camper into the modern era.

Their new Canopy Camping System combines the homey, true camping feeling of a canvas tent with the durability and convenience of a hard shelled slip-in camper.
Offering a plethora of impressive features, the Canopy Camping System is both comfortable and convenient. The shell is a lightweight, powder-coated aluminum structure with stainless steel hinges.
The raised design is tall enough for most people to stand up inside when camping, and makes plenty of room for dirt bikes, MTBs, quads, tools, or whatever you need to take with you. And you can stack up to 600lbs of gear on top of it, too.
Weather-Resistant

The alloy body keeps corrosion, rust, and UV damage at bay. The canopy will withstand the elements, with rain gutters over all openings to keep rain from dripping into your sleeping quarters. Just make sure to dry it out after rainy adventures.
Secure and Comfy

The canopy comes equipped with a large, lockable rear door and side panels to keep your gear safe.
Easy to Deploy and Care For

Set-up is easy with the self-lowering struts for the drop down side beds. Both of the included beds come with high-density foam matteresses equipped with washable covers. The tent material is a durable, mildew-resistant vinyl-backed canvas. The canopy includes all of the tenting, supports, and LED lighting.
Big and Private

Six large windows provide natural light and ventilation, and have privacy covers and mosquito screening. With both sides opened out, it has a pleasantly large living space that sleeps up to four people (two per side). An optional zippered rear screen door adds total privacy and bug protection.
