The new Four Wheel Campers HAWK+ is a bigger, better equipped version of their original for longer trips and getting further off grid.
Compared to the original, it’s designed for larger 7′ flatbed platforms (up from 6′), and uses that extra foot of length to add some key functionality and features. Here’s our walk through from Overland Expo West:
Key upgrades include:
- Integrated gray water tank
- Space for more batteries
- 40 gallons of freshwater (up from 20)
- More interior space & storage

Starting with the interior, the extra 6″ of front space made room for a “pantry” by the bed, which sits over the battery compartment and additional storage. The lid of the pantry doubles as a counter top, too.
There’s also storage under the bed, which lifts with hydraulic supports.

In back, another extra 6″ of space gave the dinette room for four to sit and eat, or just a little more elbow room for two.
For power, it comes with one 162Ah Li-Ion battery and can be expanded to five for up to 810Ah capacity, plus up to 500W of solar for extended travel.
It comes with external 12V/120V ports with USB & USB-C ports, plus a dedicated exterior DC port for Starlink Mini. Upgrade it with a RedArc Manager Alpha 75 power management system and 2000W inverter with transfer switch for maximum flexibility and control.

The kitchen comes with a flush mount sink and removable two-burner induction stove, so you can cook outside when the weather’s nice. A 65-liter fridge/freezer keeps food and drinks cold.
The extra fresh water lets you get out there for longer, and the new 5-gallon gray water tank keeps the unit completely self contained, expanding campground options that require enclosed waste water storage.

A clever pass-through storage under the passenger side dinette seat lets you access gear from inside or outside of the camper.

A new exterior MOLLE rack accessory lets you add exterior storage for traction boards, gas canisters, trash containers, and more.
