Combining a recumbent trike with a small habitat, the new Grounded T1 is a unique electric RV that looks like a bike, but without functioning pedals. Sooo…scooter?
Built on Civilized Cycle’s Semi-Trike, the “smart trailer” is supported by two rear wheels and integrates its electronics and power with the e-trike, all managed by the Grounded+ app.
That lets you monitor energy draw from appliances, lights, etc., so you save enough juice to ride home, too. There’s also 500 watts of solar on the roof to help charge the battery, even while you’re riding.

A self-adjusting air suspension keeps it comfortable and (presumably) level. The drive system has a 750W motor with 390 ft-lbs of torque and up to 150 miles of range thanks to a massive 15kWh battery. Top speed is 15mph.
Technically it’s only able to transport one person (the driver), but it seats and sleeps two, so….

The inside measures 4′ x 10′, and has an impressive 80″ of headroom, so even tall people can stand upright. Total living space is 280 cubic feet.



Creature comfort include an L-shaped bench seat and table that converts to a bed, a small kitchenette, and a fully functioning HVAC unit for four-season use. There’s even a Starlink Mini included for proper internet anywhere.
It’ll retail for $30,000 when it goes on sale in early 2025, and they’re taking fully-refundable deposits now.
