Hunter RMV unveils Predator XLE 4×4 Isuzu expedition vehicle

Nevada-based Hunter RMV’s new PREDATOR XLE 4X4 is an Isuzu FTR-based overland vehicle that prioritizes cargo capacity and off-grid capability over traditional RV amenities.

Bigger than their Predator EXP, it’s built on Isuzu’s commercial truck chassis with a Cummins B6.7L turbo diesel producing 260HP and 660 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission.

The setup includes central tire inflation, air brakes with ABS, and a two-speed transfer case for serious off-road work. At nearly 20,000 pounds dry weight and 30 feet long, the 100-gallon fuel tank will come in handy.

The vehicle’s exterior focuses on practical expedition features rather than typical RV conveniences. A roof rack with integrated LED lighting handles gear storage, while underslung steel boxes and dedicated spare tire storage with winch provide additional capacity.

Out back, a 4-foot garage section can be configured for motos, bikes, hunting equipment, or workshop space.

Outdoor cooking is handled by mounted Traeger and Blackstone grills, and a four-camera security system monitors the perimeter when parked.

The 18-foot habitat box is built on a four-point articulating subframe, keeping it from torquing and twisting over rough terrain. All-season insulation makes this a year-round, go anywhere sleeper.

An electric queen bed raises and lowers over the dinette area to maximize floor space, letting you create a bunk bed system when needed. A cab pass-thru portal behind the dining bench lets you move from driving to living areas without stepping outside.

A big bathroom sits at the rear of the box and gets a full-height shower, washer/dryer combo, and composting toilet handle basic needs.

The layout emphasizes space efficiency and off-grid independence. The electrical system runs on 800Ah of lithium batteries charged by over 1,000 watts of solar panels, with 110 gallons of fresh water storage for extended stays away from services.

I'm a serial traveller who's crisscrossed the US more times than I can count. Current rigs are a '19 Vandoit Ford Transit camper van and an '05 GX470, both fully outfitted for off-road adventures, plus a healthy fleet of gravel bikes & MTBs. On two wheels or four, I love exploring the world from the backroads.
