If you’re still stuck on those green 1-pound disposable propane tanks because Ignik’s compact 3.8L Gas Growler is still too big, they’ve got something for you.
The new Ignik TapRack comes with four refillable Pounder 1-lb gas canisters and a clever filling station to keep them topped off.

Attach the bottles and you can fill them at any DOT-approved filling stations (Costco, U-Haul, etc.), then peel them off one by one as needed. Each 1-pound bottle connects seamlessly to common propane appliances like 2-burner stoves and heaters without any adapters.

Or, keep them all attached and it functions as a single 4-pound canister, drawing from all four tanks simulaneously and equally for anything that uses a standard BBQ grill connector. When not in use, the filling rack breaks down into two pieces for easier storage.

Ignik says the kit pays for itself after four refills. Which is cool, but more importantly it keeps those essentially non-reusable green bottles out of the landfill. And if you’re using those and trying to refill them yourself (which is illegal in some places, this is a much safer, better option.
FYI: The TapRack is designed to only refill Ignik’s Pounder bottles, not other single-use or 3rd party refillable bottles.
Also FYI, Ignik says single-use propane cylinders are to be banned in California starting January 2028,
with more states to follow, including Colorado, Washington, Oregon, New York, and Vermont

Dimensions are 8.6″ L x 9.3″ W x 10.6″ H. MSRP is TBA, available in July. In the meantime, check out their new Blue gas growlers, which come in 3.8L, 5L, and 10L sizes.
