iKamper Debuts Raconteur Racks for Roof Tops & Truck Beds

iKamper's Raconteur Racks on a Toyota 4runner and Tacoma.

iKamper, better known for their rooftop tents, has entered the rack market with their Raconteur Racks. While it took them a little longer, they seem to have taken their time and really thought about the details and what was missing out there.

The Raconteur is currently available in roof rack and bed rack varieties for overlanding’s most popular vehicles: the 2nd and 3rd-gen Toyota Tacoma, 5th-gen 4Runner, and Jeep Gladiator, with plans to expand to more trucks soon.

They’re expertly crafted from burly box-constructed steel towers with stainless steel hardware for a seriously strong, stable platform. All these racks have legit static capacity, and more importantly for us overlanders, dynamic load. For instance, the roof racks sport a 1,000-pound static and 400-pound dynamic load yet only weigh 63-75 pounds. The bed racks rock even more with a 440 dynamic and a whopping 1,213-pound static capacity.

iKamper sweats the details and it’s clear that they put plenty of thought into how people really use their racks in the real world. Full-length MOLLE panels along the sides allow you to bolt on all manner of accessories…

.. and the Raconteur series has plenty of them. Everything from cross bars to awning and lightbar mounts to accessory panels for your bed and back windows. And of course, rooftop tents.

As expected, the Raconteur rack works seamlessly with all of iKamper’s RTTs giving you a one-stop shop for your home-away-from-home. They are also compatible with any standard RTT and a whole world of after-market accessories.

All installations are intuitve, drill free, and in the case of the Tacoma, they simply mount to the bed rails. They’re in stock and shipping now. Full specs and pricing below.
