SEMA 2024 – Inspired Overland is known for making the lightest rooftop tents thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, and their latest experiment is swapping out metal hardware for carbon. But the bigger news is new acrylic lid options to give you a better view of the night sky!

Available on the new Stargazer series, the top panel is replaced with clear acrylic windows for an unfettered view of the stars. Or wild life. Or whatever you’re doing inside the tent, so park wisely, or…

The Stargazers will come in Solo (above, for one person) and Duo (below, for two) sizes, and weigh in at 87lbs and 97lbs respectively. The Solo has a standard hinge at the front, but the Duo adds an articulating hinge for more foot room:

They say they’re close to production, just finalizing the articulating carbon arm design for perfect opening and closing action.

Their original CarbonLite opens like a standard clamshell, but this one looks to have about 14″ of lift at the front for a much more comfortable, livable space.

They also had this Porsche with a full carbon-shelled solo tent that’s shaped like a cargo box. It’s a concept for now, but they did the carbon fiber in house. The bottom floor was slats, like a bed frame, which saves weight but would require a sturdy mattress or small platform to complete it…but it’s a work in progress.
