Insta360 already has what’s arguably the best 360º action camera on the market, and now they’ve given it wings with the new Antigravity A1 drone.

By using multiple cameras, it captures 360º of footage in 8K resolution, ensuring you never miss the shot or have to worry about aiming the camera while also flying it.

But that’s not all, it’s also ultralight at just 249g, so you don’t need a license to fly it. And it comes with a trigger style remote and uses goggles instead of a screen, giving you more intuitive, immersive control.

The goggles are ultralight, putting the battery weight on a lanyard to wear around your neck or in a pocket rather than on your head.

Simply aim the controller where you want it to go, giving you more instinctive control. Or, set the flight path and let it fly itself. You can also lock onto a subject and have it pre-track you, your rig, or anything else that’s moving, making post-production even easier.

Or, use the app after filming to create shorts and scenes with AI-assisted editing making it easy to splice and add cinematic effects. And because it captures everything, it can frame it for any outlet you want…social, YouTube, etc.

Built-in obstacle avoidance and navigation assistance help prevent crashes. It also has replaceable lenses, so you don’t need to worry about expensive repairs if it does run into something.

MSRP is $1,599 for the standard bundle with a single battery and four spare propellers. The Explorer bundle runs $1,899 and adds two more batteries and extra propellers, but the $1,999 Infinity Bundle upgrades the batteries to the high-capacity batteries that extend flight time from 24 minutes to 39 minutes (but increases drone weight to 291g).
