KRUG Expedition has unveiled the Bedrock XT2 6×6, a 27-foot expedition vehicle that represents the company’s most ambitious (and luxurious) build to date.

Built on a custom AT44 XT2 Ford F-550 chassis (built by Arctic Trucks) with a 6×6 all-wheel-drive configuration, the XT2 brings extreme capability with comfortable living quarters and enough off-grid infrastructure for extended remote travel.

The vehicle’s redesigned living module aims to replicate the feel of a modern apartment, featuring full-height ceilings, panoramic windows, and high-end finishes including hand-crafted cabinetry and leather accents.

It has a fully functional kitchen with premium appliances, queen-size sleeping quarters (plus dinette that converts to another bed), and a bathroom with a huge split shower/toilet layout:

Smart climate control and advanced power management systems maintain comfort in extreme conditions.
The XT2’s interior uses lightweight, reconfigurable furniture that can be adapted for different trip requirements. Extensive customization options for materials and components let you make it your own.

KRUG’s reinforced sandwich panel construction eliminates condensation issues common in expedition builds and provides insulation for all-season travel.
A huge roof hatch lets light and fresh air in when the weather’s not so extreme, and doubles as an escape hatch.

Power comes from a 6.7L V8 diesel producing 330 horsepower, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Clever features include a central tire inflation system that lets you air up or down on the fly. An optional outdoor kitchen expands the living area, and a hydraulic bike lift lets you take a moto along.
The electrical system features 1,450 watts of solar generation feeding a 23,000 watt-hour battery bank, while 118 gallons of fresh water storage supports extended off-grid stays.
