Designed with electric vehicles in mind, the new Mars Aeroblade can help save more watts with its incredibly slim design.
The rooftop tent category has exploded with nearly identical wedge-style tents mainly competing on price. A handful of brands stand out for having unique designs, but none come close to Mars Adventure Gear’s Aeroblade, and we’re pretty stoked about that.

Measuring just 3.48″ tall when closed, Not only do they say it reduces drag by about 60% compared to regular RTTs, but it’ll likely fit in more garages than the standard 7-8″ tall tents.
The front end uses a “hingeless” (or at least hidden hinge) and slightly angled design to help it slice through the wind. A very Howard Hughes-esque lack of visible bolts and grommets further streamlines airflow.

Add the Adventure Package and you’ll get low-profile crossbars, which still don’t make it as most other roof tents.

The slim design is also feathery light at just 110lbs, making it compatible with virtually any factory roof rails…and helping keep the center of gravity lower on lifted vehicles.
Tradeoffs? Barely…

Of course, there are always tradeoffs. With the Aeroblade, it comes down to two things, neither of which are dealbreakers.
First, the mattress must be thin, although they don’t call out the exact specs. It is an air+foam hybrid that requires no manual inflation on your part, though.
Second, interior footprint is 82.2″ x 46.5″. That’s a great length, but on the narrower side of what’s out there. As long as you don’t mind cuddling, it’s a non-issue, and the 50″ max interior height is respectable.
Tech Specs & Materials
