Power Tank Rescue Valve replaces Valve Stems w/o Removing Tire

If you break a valve stem, most kits and parts require you to dismount the tire from your rim in order to replace it…which is tough enough before considering how you’re going to re-mount your tire in the wild.

Enter Power Tank’s Rescue Valve, an emergency valve stem that installs from the outside, no need to remove your vehicle’s tire.

Simply press the old, damaged valve stem into your wheel with a pair of needle nose pliers (or similar), insert the Rescue Valve, and tighten it down with a deep 12mm socket.

So, yes, you’ll need to make sure you have a 12mm deep socket and ratchet or handle in your repair kit, too, but sure beats trying to remove and re-mount a tire by the trail.

They work by expanding from the inside as you tighten the nut, similar to how a riv-nut expands to secure itself from the backside of a hole. The friction of the rubber seal keeps it from spinning inside your rim’s valve hole. Simple, brilliant.

The best part? They’re only $9.95 each, available direct and on Amazon.
