Until now, I’ve been bringing everything from fake grass mats to yoga mats, but the new Rumpl Overland Mat is the first purpose-built, waterproof option that gets details just right.

Designed for overlanding, car camping, basecamp, vanlife, and beyond, the Overland Mat has a tough PU-coated 500D Oxford canvas bottom that’s rated to 10K waterproofness. Meaning, it’s fully waterproof and can hold up to the scuffs and scrapes that come from walking and sitting on it.

The topside is a soft nylon twill made from recycled material, soft enough to double as a blanket in a pinch. It’s finished with a PFAS-free waterproof coating to shed morning dew or anything you spill or track onto it.

Between them is light padding, making it comfortable to use over gravely surfaces. Corners are reinforced and have loops for staking it into the ground.

It measures 52″ x 75″ flat, and rolls up into an included zippered stuff sack that’s just 15″ x 8″ x 8″. Weight is 3.85lbs all in. Comes in two colors – Sedona and Wasabi. MSRP $129.

There aren’t a lot of details or reviews out for this yet, so I found this article extremely helpful. Sounds like exactly what I was looking for. Just ordered. Thanks!
