Combining a full-featured toll roll into a tough, easy-to-carry pouch, the Step 22 Pangolin might be the ultimate tool transporter.
They have full-size and mini versions of the Pangolin tool roll, both packed with clever features and modular designs. We’ll start with the big boy:
The Pangolin has eight pouches and compartments, which all roll up into a structured pouch, and the exterior is a weather-proof coated 1000-denier nylon. The interior is Cordura Nylon with a mix of solid and clear (VisiMesh) pouches, all using YKK RC zippers with T-pulls.
Two of the pouches are removable, including a fully-sleeved Wrench Roll that also has two smaller Velcro pockets perfectly sized for hex/torx wrenches.
Unroll it and you have a 33×14″ work mat. The wrench roll holds 12 wrenches up to 11.5″ long. The tool pouches are 13×4.5×2.5″, which should fit almost anything, including larger screwdrivers.
Smaller clear pockets on the end hold bits, bolts, sockets, and other small items. Roll it all up into the carrying pouch, cinch it tight, and it carries and stores easily without anything spilling out.

The Pangolin Tool Roll comes in Multi-Cam or Black, and the pouch has a water-resistant measurement/conversion card for easy math when you need to know which metric socket works for inch-type bolts. MSRP is $185.
Pangolin Mini Tool Roll
The Pangolin Mini works the same, it’s just smaller with six pockets and a smaller 7-slot Wrench Roll. It has removable compartments, plus a hanging hook, making it an excellent option for toiletries, cooking/eating utensils, first aid, and other stuff besides tools.

Pangolin Tool Pouch
Already have a favorite tool roll? The Pangolin Tool Pouch has the same rugged materials and cinch-to-close top, with a flap to cover and contain its contents once close. It measures 15.5x8x7.25″ (holds 13.6L (0.48 cu.ft.) and has an interior mesh pocket. Full wrap straps make it easy to carry while supporting heavy loads. MSRP $60.
