The new SylvanSport GOAT takes their original GO multi-purpose camper trailer and makes it All-Terrain (AT, get it?) with more ground clearance, bigger tires, and an articulating hitch.

Like the original, it can be a gear hauler or camper trailer, or pretty much anything in between. And with 18″ of ground clearance, big 29″ all-terrain tires, and axle-less layout, it can go pretty much anywhere your overland vehicle can pull it.

The GOAT is built on a powder-coated custom aluminum frame with flexible PE fenders, LED taillights and corner lights.

The GOAT comes with a Timbren Axleless Suspension with 2000lb load rating per side. Falken Wildpeak A/T tires (235/75R15 with 28.9″ diameter) come standard, with a full size spare and mount optional or as part of an upgrade package. Mount that on one side…

…and add accessory mounts to the other side for more storage. The departure angle is 18ยบ, and the rear end has a fold-down gate/tag holder that becomes an entry step.

Dry weight for the base trailer is only 1,200lbs (240lb tongue weight) and you can pull it with either a 1-1/4″ or 2″ receiver and standard ball hitch. But if you’re really headed off-road, opt for the articulating hitch to give it freedom to move over uneven terrain.

Cargo & camping modes

Total cargo capacity is 950lbs, which includes any accessories (like that full size spare) that you’ll add. The roof rack can support 200lbs and is compatible with most 3rd party cross bars, bike trays, storage boxes, etc.

In camping mode, the trailer has fully-enclosed tent panels. The sides fold out to create two benches that double as beds, and a table folds down between them. Four stabilizers drop down, one at each corner, to level the trailer and keep it solid while you’re moving around inside.

Set it up with two or four beds to sleep up to four adults. There’s no built-in power options or A/C, but you can add rooftop solar panels and your own battery system. Or just run a drop cord and outlet strip at any campsite with hookups.

Weights, dimensions & pricing

The camper measures 158″ long, 75.5″ wide, and 57.5″ tall when collapsed for travel, assuming you don’t have the top raised to fit bikes/gear inside. Cargo dimensions are 48″W x 84″L x 17″H and you can raise the top for up to 48″ of interior height while driving.

Three packages are available, ranging from $18,495 (includes the base tent sides and panels, but no mattress pads) up to $21,995 with all the bells and whistles. Available for pre-order now, ships in April 2024.
