Need to carry four bikes? How about six?!? The new Thule ReVert has you covered, offering the brand’s first upright, vertical hitch-mounted bike rack.
Like all Thule bike racks, it’s tested (and then tested some more) to handle the roughest roads and conditions. So, even with a full 6-bike load, you can head off-road to get to more remote mountain bike trails or gravel roads.

What sets it apart from the competition is a dual TiltAssist damper that helps lift and lower the rack for you, even when fully loaded. Just push the release and pull it down or push it up and a gas strut does the heavy lifting for you.

It also tilts downward, which has two benefits. When it’s time to load the bikes, the lowered position lets you roll the bike into place and rest the front tires in the cradles, barely having to lift the bike (if at all) to get it onto the rack. Then just lift the rack back up and secure the rear tires to the base and you’re ready to roll.

When it’s time to ride, just reverse the process and you can easily pull the bikes off and get rolling.
The downward tilt can also be used with the bikes fully loaded and secured, giving you plenty of room to access rear hatches and tailgates. The design also sticks out just far enough to clear some rear-mounted spare tires.

Available for 2″ hitches only, it comes two sizes:
- 4-bike
- $899
- 220lb total capacity, max 55lb per bike
- 73lb rack weight
- 6-bike
- $1,099
- 250lb total capacity, max 55lb per bike
- 88lb rack weight
While you couldn’t load a full fleet of e-mountain bikes on there, the 55lb per-tray weight limit means many modern eMTBs can make the trip.

The included front wheel trays fit road, gravel, and mountain bike tires up to 29×3.0″. Optional 20/24″ and 5″ Fat Bike wheel trays give you more options, including kids bikes. Maximum bike wheelbase is 1,350mm (53.1″).
The wheel trays are lightly angled to keep the bikes close together without handlebar interference. And, it’s not only tough enough for off-road use, it’s even rated for RVs, too. They also offer optional lock kits and a bike holder for easier trailside repairs.
Available at REI, Backcountry, and JensonUSA.
