The all-new Toyo Open Country R/T Pro is a rugged terrain hybrid M/T tire designed to tackle dirt, sand, mud, rocks, and snow with confidence, but also be comfortable on the ride to and from the trail.
To handle the rough stuff, it’s built with a 3-ply sidewall and massive shoulder lugs, protecting against cuts, chips, and impacts.

The new R/T Pro replaces the long-standing Open Country R/T (launched in 2014!). Its tread pattern bridges the gap between the their R/T Trail and M/T (Maximum Traction) tires. The R/T Pro provides off-road enthusiasts with a versatile option to fine-tune and meet the demands of how they intend to use their vehicles.

The design has an aggressive tread pattern with omni-directional-shaped tread blocks, increased void ratio, and lateral grooves to improve traction in snow and mud. It’s also more comfortable and quieter, and claims smoother, tighter on-road handling compared to traditional mud tires.

“The Open Country product line now features a highly capable, professional-grade Hybrid M/T solution for enthusiasts to fine tune their tire selection with the exciting addition of our newest tire, the Open Country R/T Pro,” said Todd Bergeson, sr. manager, product planning & technical services, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.

“This tire is a culmination of extensive research and testing. We worked directly with off-road enthusiasts and industry experts across the country, to ensure it will meet both our strict targets and our customer’s expectations for performance and reliability. The result is an aggressive hybrid M/T tire with outstanding performance that will exceed the expectations of our customers.”
