Hi-def front and rear dash cams are nothing new, but the new Wolfbox G900Tripro takes it to the next level by adding a 1080p front bumper cam that gives you a better view of the ground under your rig.
The 3-channel setup uses a split screen-capable 12″ rear view mirror display, showing one or more of the cameras’ views. Switch views on command using swipes & presses, or voice control, and automatically see what’s behind you when putting the car in reverse. And it records all three simultaneously.
For overlanders and off-roaders, the waterproof bumper camera provides a closeup look at the terrain just before you roll over it.
All three cameras support HDR recording, using a mix of Sony Starvis 2 & OmniVision PureCel Plus sensors.
The main front camera, which is built into the “mirror”, records in 4K for sharp video capture, detailed enough to read license plates, even at night (their claim, we’re getting one in to test that). The rear records in 2.7K, and the bumper terrain cam in 1080p.
The dash cam includes built-in GPS tracking that displays real-time speed and location data on screen. Users can review recorded footage alongside GPS information including speed, coordinates, and driving routes through Google Maps integration via the WOLFBOX GPS player software.
The rear camera offers flexible installation options for interior or exterior mounting and includes waterproof housing for weather protection. Install it upside down if you need to, then just flip the view in the settings.
Safety features include a three-level adjustable reversing assist system and customizable parking guidelines that can be adjusted via touchscreen swipe controls.
The G900TriPro includes 24/7 parking monitoring capabilities hardwired to a constant-on power source. Additional security features include G-sensor impact detection that automatically locks video files during sudden impacts, and loop recording that continuously overwrites older footage to ensure storage availability.
MSRP for the basic kit is $439.99 and includes everything you need for a simple install that straps the screen around your OEM mirror and puts the rear camera inside the vehicle.
The Extended Pack runs $499.99 and replaces your OEM mirror’s mount for a cleaner, leaner install, and adds a polarizing front camera lens to improve clarity and reduce glare, plus a license plate mounting bracket for the rear camera.
